In memory of Peter Perkins, a former racer of De TREE, his family initially organized this race. It was later adopted by 18 Degrees Group and incorporated into their Pioneers weekend.

Races usually start in the afternoon, around 1pm. Be sure to listen to the Anguilla radio stations or ask the front desk at your accommodations about the start time of the race or any changes due to conditions at sea! Also, it never hurts to just go to the beach and enjoy your time until the race starts!
